ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT

The Marketing and Management Department carries out educational and scientific activities, the main intention of its activities is to train professional personnel who form high-quality human capital that can make a worthy contribution to sustainable socio-economic development and the image of the country.


The mission of the department is to provide high-quality education through the development of scientific and educational technologies for graduates of a new formation, capable of practical implementation of the acquired knowledge in modern conditions.


The educational process is provided by highly qualified faculty of the Marketing and Management Department. The department carries out educational activities at a highly professional level, in accordance with state education criteria and international requirements and makes every effort to successfully combine high-quality educational services and equal access of students to education regardless of their property and social status

Educational programs:

The department conducts training in Kazakh and Russian languages in the following educational programs: bachelor's degree 6B04104 "Management", 6B04109 "Marketing", 6B11114 "Tourism", 6B11115 "Cultural and leisure work", and master's degree 7M04130 "Business administration (EMBA).


Educational program "6B04104 - Management":


Goal - training a qualified competitive specialist - manager, possessing skills in organizational work and management activities.


Graduates of the educational program "6B04104 - Management" are awarded the academic degree of Bachelor of Business and Management in the educational program "6B04104 - Management"


The objects of professional activity are:


- government bodies (ministries, akimats, their regional divisions and structures);


- state and private companies;


- property, property complexes (enterprises, institutions, organizations) and other objects of small, medium and large businesses;


- research organizations engaged in the study of problems of development of nutrition, marketing in catering organizations;


- educational institutions training mid-level specialists in management.


Bachelors of the educational program "6B04104 - Management" can perform the following types of professional activity:


- specialist in business development and management in government agencies dealing with management issues;- specialist in the organization of management activities;- manager of infrastructure facilities;- consultant of consulting companies in the management industry;


- managers of public and private companies.


Bachelors of the educational program "6B04104 - Management" can perform the following functions of professional activity:


- organize highly effective service to consumers of services;


- participate in solving organizational and strategic tasks;


- consult consumers on issues of services provided;


- exercise quality control of services provided;


- manage conflicts and stress in professional activities;


- consider claims and take measures to prevent them;


- exercise control over the work of personnel in organizations, over compliance with labor protection rules and regulations.


Educational program "6B04109 - Marketing",


The goal is to train specialists in the field of marketing who are able to apply marketing tools to study the market and meet consumer needs, and be competitive in the labor market.


Graduates of the educational program "6B04109 - Marketing" are awarded the academic degree of Bachelor of Business and Management in the educational program "6B04109 - Marketing".


The objects of professional activity are:


- advertising agencies engaged in the promotion of goods and services on the domestic and foreign markets;


- government agencies, service enterprises (hotels, catering establishments, travel agencies, excursion bureaus);


- manufacturing and intermediary enterprises;


- international chambers of commerce;


- trading houses;


- government bodies (ministries, akimats, their regional divisions and structures);


- state and private companies;


- property complexes (enterprises, institutions, organizations) and other objects of small, medium and large businesses;


- research organizations engaged in the study of marketing problems in organizations.


Bachelor's degree students of the educational program "6B04109 - Marketing" can perform the following types of professional activity:


- specialist in marketing development in government agencies dealing with service sector issues;


- specialist in organizing marketing activities;


- marketer of infrastructure facilities;


- consultant of consulting companies in the marketing industry, marketing services.

Educational program 6B11114 "Tourism"


The goal is to train specialists who can effectively carry out organizational and managerial, production and technological, and tourist and recreational activities in the field of tourism and hospitality.


Graduates of the educational program "6B11114-Tourism" are awarded the academic degree of bachelor in the field of services under the educational program "6B11114-Tourism".


The objects of professional activity are:


- government bodies related to the organization of tourism (ministries, akimats, their regional divisions and structures);


- state and private companies engaged in the tourism business;


- consulting companies in the tourism profile;


- marketing services of tourism enterprises;


- tourism infrastructure facilities;


- educational institutions training mid-level specialists in tourism;


- research

Scientific activity:

In the 2023-2024 academic year, the teaching staff of the department prepared 4 project applications for participation in competitions for grant funding of fundamental and applied scientific research:


- Competition for grant funding of young scientists for scientific and (or) scientific and technical projects for 2024-2026;


- Competition for grant funding of young scientists for the project "Zhas Galym" for 2024-2026;


- Competition for grant funding for scientific and (or) scientific and technical projects for 2024-2026.


The Marketing and Management Department held a research competition in the Marketing and Advertising program in the 2022-2023 academic year.


In 2023, the head of the department, Myltykbaeva A.T., became the recipient of a scholarship for a scientific internship "500 scientists" within the framework of the Bolashak program. During her internship at George Washington University (USA), she will be researching Management in Education. This research will potentially help find new ways of early diagnosis and prevention of age-related diseases and human aging.

Student achievements:

Students of the department actively participate in scientific competitions, olympiads, conferences.
