The Department of Automation and Electronics has a student research club, which includes teachers and students. To participate in scientific and practical conferences, the faculty and students prepare reports and presentation materials every year. The results of students' research are then used by them when completing and defending their diploma theses (projects).

Teachers and students of our department actively participate in all events held both within the walls of the university and in international, Republican, regional events dedicated to significant dates and events.

INFRASTRUCTURE

In the educational process for teaching students in the educational program 6B07101 - "Automation and Control" and 6B07103 - "Electric Power Engineering", specialized laboratories are used.

The department, which began its activity with two laboratories, currently has twelve laboratories, nine of which are laboratories with fifty operating removable stands, two computer classes with twenty computers. The first laboratories were created by doctors of technical sciences Kangozhin B.R., Sultangazinov S.K. A great contribution to the development of the laboratories of the department "Automation and Electronics" was made by academician of the International Academy of Transport (Russia), doctor of technical sciences, professor Omarov A.D.

The department has the following laboratories:

- “Automation and telemechanics on stages”;

- "Fundamentals of digital technology and discrete devices";

- "Fundamentals of Electronics and Automation";

- "Digital devices and automation elements";

- "Theoretical foundations of electrical engineering";

- "Automation and electric power systems";

- "Electric machines and basics of electric drives";

- "Electrical measurements";

- "Theory of electrical circuits".

In recent years, the department has acquired modern laboratory stands for the following disciplines:Microprocessor complexes in control systems, Linear automatic control systems, Automation and telemetry lines, Automation and telemetry on sections, Dispatch centralization, Elements and devices of automation, Automation and telemetry systems,Transient processes in electric power engineering, Theoretical foundations of electrical engineering, Electrical engineering materials, Electrical engineering and fundamentals of electronics, Electrical machines, Power conversion devices, Design of power supply systems, Digital technology and microprocessor devices, Theory of linear electrical circuits, Theory of electrical circuits, Information and measuring equipment.

In the classrooms, the state of the laboratory areas meets the current sanitary requirements. The laboratories are equipped with installations that allow the planned volume of laboratory classes to be carried out according to the working curriculum.

Each laboratory has removable stands on which

students conduct practical research and experiments. All laboratory installations are designed to provide practical study by graduate students and students of the operating principles and characteristics of various circuits

instruments, systems and devices for railway automation, telemechanics and communications.

Over the past fifteen years, since the foundation of the department (01.09.2000), a great deal of work has been done to create an educational and laboratory base and training ground, and methodological support for the educational process.
